How do you hang the
birdhouses?
It is best to put the house on a post or fence post or in a tree with an angle brace. The National Audubon Society suggests that birds would rather nest in a stationary structure instead of something blowing in the wind.
Do they last
out in the weather?
Yes. – The birdhouses are made to withstand Michigan’s fluctuating temperatures. I suggest you bring your birdhouse in during the snowy winter months – I put mine under the patio awning and take it back out in the spring. Mailboxes, of course are made for year round durability.
Is there any
maintenance?
Some. The houses and mailboxes are all sealed with a sealer just like any stamped concrete you may have around your home. To keep the sheen on your products – once a year you may want to brush on a concrete sealer.
Are your
products heavy?
Yes. – They are the real thing. My products are made with actual cement and stone.
