Welcome to birdhousesrock! My name is Yvonne LaCross and I have been working with stonework now since 1994. I have always had a great attraction for the old craftsman style stone houses you may see in a trip to northern Michigan. It is with those in mind and through the test of time I have created birdhousesrock.
My Father and brother had a cement business and they taught me the essentials of building and stoning my bird houses. Working together we created the perfect “cement mix” for the longevity of the stone and cement houses.
All of the products used are refurbished, recycled, or home grown right down to every stone that I pick up from Michigan beaches. These houses are built out of scrap lumber, then cemented in much the same way a builder would for a modern day house with a cut stone chimney. I am proud to say you will never find any two of my houses alike.
